Just had a question about whether or not I should use velcro in the school days coat. I am doing toggle closures and I am at the step in the pattern about velcro which says optional. I always struggles when patterns say optional because I am not sure if it is recommended or not. Will the toggles be enough? I am not that crazy about velcro on my daughter's clothes . Items I knit always get stuck to the velcro.
