Reverse scallops

I recently made 2 Building Block Dresses with a reverse scallop as shown on page 25. I struggled with the idea of how to get the points and finally came up with an idea that worked. I made a facing out of scrap material and sewed it with a basting stitch, turned, clipped and pressed. Then I removed the stitching and there was the scallop ready to be stitched! Worked like a charm.
