Pajama emergency

Maybe a little overstated, but . . . A good friend is facing very serious surgery, and he wants button front pajamas (the button-front will be needed for medical reasons). I'm looking for pattern recommendations. Also, he has a print he likes from Spoonflower. I don't have any experience with their substrates. I'd love advice on what would be best for men's summer pajamas. The lawn?
