LTTS – Cape

So I've made the cape into a poncho twice now but do you think I can figure out for the life of me how to turn it right side out?? I've tried leaving a spot for turning but end up not being able to turn the whole thing right side out. Both times I've ended up ripping out the hem, turning it under and topstitching on the outside all along the bottom. I'm making another one as a gift and would like a little cleaner finish. Can someone with better spacial sense than me help me out? If I want to sew the hem first before turning it right side out, where would I leave the opening for turning? (I'm not including the arm holes on the side by the way).
