Lining fabric for pockets?

Can the kangaroo pockets be made with a contrast fabric? I'm making this in a fairly heavy & loosely woven flannel & would like to use something a little lighter weight & tightly woven for the pockets. Do you think the lining will show through? Should I draft a pocket facing or is there a trick to make the pockets super invisible? Thanks all for you help! Michelle
