Lining fabric for pockets?

Can the kangaroo pockets be made with a contrast fabric? I’m making this in a fairly heavy & loosely woven flannel & would like to use something a little lighter weight & tightly woven for the pockets. Do you think the lining will show through? Should I draft a pocket facing or is there a trick to make the pockets super invisible?

    Thanks all for you help!

I have made several and the lining doesn’t show.
Perhaps roll your seam slightly inwards when pressing to be on the safe side.

@mlinton I remember an exquisite School Photo dress in the Flickr stream that was a wool with red pocket lining. It showed when viewed from the side and slightly open but man wax it a nice feature. Try searching the Flickr stream fro school photo dresses.
    I think a thinner pocket facing is a good idea I you’re working with a thick(ish) fabric.
