Lining a jacket

So unfortunatly I'm sewing a non Oliver S pattern. I'm making a blazer. The pattern calls for a half lining but I plan to extend it full length. The lining has a pleat at the top to add ease. My question is do I extend the pleat down to the hem or do I blend it out as it extends down to the hem? Thanks to anyone that has experience here.
