Kimono neckband (Step 5)

    Oh, dear, I’ve read them over and over but still need help. When the directions say ‘trim the neckband at the short end so that it has 1/2″ seam allowance’ do I trim on an angle to align with the front panel?

    and just to be totally sure, is the 1/2″ seam allowance measured 1/2″ past the front panel?

    Hi!

    I just did this step tonight. Not sure i can help, but will try. You trim 1/2″ from the kimono and you cut a vertical line that is parallel to the edge of the shirt.

    thank you! Yes, that does help. When I looked at the illustration again, I was able to see! (sorry for the delayed reply… my family went on holiday to the Sierra Nevada)…
