Hand sewing needles

Hello everyone I noticed after I opened a package of hand sewing needles, that I purchased at Joann’s, they are covered in something that looks like shiny metal but feels like plastic. I’m trying to find regular hand sewing needles. Can anyone suggest a brand name and where I can find these needles? They said at Joann’s that I can buy a pin cushion that will sharpen the old ones that I have but I’d rather buy some more. Thanks
