french seam for carousel sleeve?

I'm working on the carousel dress, and I'm so pleased with my French seams (which are still new to me). Can I do the same to attach the sleeves? The fabric is lightweight, and I've read on the O&S French seam tutorial that gentle curves will work as well, but I'm still nervous about it. Any advice would be welcome! Thanks!
