FBA without adjusting waistline…?

@Liesl I've watched the Creativebug video, and understand it well, but I'm curious how to get back the smaller waistline? Whether for a top or fitted dress, I'd like to emphasize my smaller waist, but doing the FBA widens it. I've seen a few other tutes on the web for just slashing the side-seam, but I'm curious what Liesl would suggest, for only adjusting the bust, but not the waistline. Thanks!!
