FBA on metro t-shirt?

Has anyone done an FBA on the metro t-shirt? Making for a friend who is small-boned, but has a very large bust (DDD), so I need to do an FBA. Not sure how it works differently on knits (does it?) and who has done it (successfully)? Thanks!!
