Fabric Sources

I love many of the patterns and would welcome the chance to return to sewing regularly if only I could find some decent fabric sources. JoAnn Fabrics fails to excite me....polar fleece anyone?! Likewise, many online companies are geared to the quilters. Can you suggest some retail fabric options for this eager, but frustrated sewer?
