I’ve got a few skirt patterns- -swingset, sailboat and 2+2– would corduroy work for any of them? I’m concerned it will be too bulky.

A thin wale will work with all of those. Good luck.

I used a 21-wale corduroy for the Hopscotch skirt and it turned out really well. Use the iron judiciously and make sure the nap all goes the same direction and you’ll be fine.

I just finished at 2+2 skirt in uncut corduroy (velveteen) and it worked very well. I thought it might be too thick for the pleats but my machine didn’t mind and the fabric holds the shaping nicely — hopefully less ironing for me!
