Contrast skirt for View A?

My niece has requested a giraffe dress with buttons on the front. It just so happens that I have some giraffe fabric and a matching polka dot in my stash - I have one yard of the dots and would like to only use one yard of the giraffes. Those of you who have made this before, do you think that's enough fabric to do the bodice/sleeves in one fabric and the skirt in the other (possibly leaving off the belt) for a size 2T or 3T with some added length? Has anyone made the dress with a contrasting skirt, and did you like how it turned out?
