Camp Dress Collar

Question: When sewing the collar pieces together, the instructions say to fold seam allowances along the seam lines (Step 4) and turn right side out. Once I have done that, should I leave the "V" form that naturally forms on the outer collar edge, as a result of folding the seam allowances? Or, should I turn it fully right side out, and press the outer edge along the seam line? It's kind of hard to explain what I'm asking.
