I am a quilter just about to start my first project with knits. I found some double knit jersey for my first hopscotch dress, but the selection was limited.

What are your favorite online sites for knits? I’ve searched, but I don’t seem to find much. There are so many great dresses on the Flickr stream. I know there are lovely fabrics out there.

I haven’t actually bought from here yet, but they have lots of cute knit prints for pretty reasonable prices.

http://www.etsy.com/shop/BamblueFabrics has all kinds of excellent quality knit fabric. I have used the bamboo french terry, the color stays vibrant, it washes well, wears well and stands up to a three year old. It’s very beefy for leggings and she loves them. We live in the Northeast so it’s cooler. I tried the bamboo jersey too and it is a little to thin for leggings, but very nice. I have ordered some cotton/lycra for leggings too. For interlock I google Moda City Weekend or Modern Workshop they are the best quality interlock fabric.

My pleasure, if you order 3-5 yards the shipping is less than what the shopping cart says. She will put together a custom listing for you with the correct shipping.

I ordered a bunch of fabric from banberryplace.com. They have a great selection moderately priced knits. I thought I would share the resource.
