bodice lining

Hi all.... I am 3/4 of the way through my first fairy tale - and for the life of me, can't figure out what to do with the bodice lining on either side of the zipper. It's attached at the neckline and armholes, and I am just getting to the skirt lining, so it will be attached there - but on either side of the zipper - it is folded and meets the zipper beautifully - did I miss a step somewhere? Am I supposed to stitch it? So confused - help please!
