Hi just got my patterns in the mail today and can't wait to try them out! This will be my first time sewing Oliver patterns. I noticed on the after school shirt that a back waist length was not given nor was there a marking on the pattern to make the adjustment. I'm used to using that measurement as a guide for fitting when I use other commercial patterns like Simplicity, McCall, etc. So, where and how should I make the adjustment? My soon to be 8 year old has a 23" chest and 21 1/2" waist, slightly smaller than a size 5. When I use other patterns- like Simplicity- I make a size 6 and then adjust the back waist length for 8 year old. She is long waisted so most things are too short and have to be adjusted. Thoughts?
