Hi folks, I only have 3/8" and wider elastic. What effect would it have? I can guess that it might make the hem heavier, so it would hang differently. Could I compensate by making the elastic shorter (to restore some of the bubbliness)? Just not sure if I have time to add another errand (trip to buy elastic) as I'm trying to finish this dress in time for Chinese New Year. Thanks for any thoughts on the subject! Oh, I'm making a size 2T, if that makes a difference.
