Adjusting for a full bottom

Hi, I have just sewn up a pair of the Soho shorts for my daughter and they look great with the exception of the back hem being higher than the front when worn. She has a round/full bottom and so I guess it is a case of making a slight adjustment so it sits level. But what do I need to do, and ideas?
