    Easter dress

I made this with a rabbit print skirt and grey top. I made 3T size for my granddaughter who is just 2 and 2 months. It's not going to last long so will make it next time in 4T size. She loves it.

I've made this tunic in two different fabrics for my four year old granddaughter to wear with leggings. The pattern was easy to follow and sew; and she LOVES the hidden pockets. The topstitch detail was the icing on the cake.

    Love it!

Like any other Oliver+s pattern, the directions are great. I purchased this pattern because I have a granddaughter who loves those playtime dresses made by a Scandinavian designer. This pattern is very similar has made it easy for me to expand her wardrobe with dresses she loves. Have not tried the leggings yet, but again, the pattern looks very clearly written.

    Playtime dress and leggings

Loved the dress pattern and it fit my six month old great granddaughter nicely. The leggings, however, were way too skinny to cover cloth diapers and a diaper cover. I made a second pair combining the 2 T size for the top of the leggings with a six - 12 mo size length and it worked. Love your simple styles and have made two dresses using this pattern.

Much more fitted than pattern cover shows
    Reviewed by on 10/19/2014
I made this tunic and leggings for my almost 3 year old granddaughter (33.5 lbs and 37.5 inches tall.. The tunic was done with a quilting cotton and made with reverse facings. The leggings were a cotton knit It is adorable and gets loads of compliments. I made a size 3T. The tunic on the pattern cover looks very loose fitting, but I found it has much less ease than it appears. The snug fit and narrow sleeves make it a little difficult to take off and on when made out of a woven. I would make two changes next time I sew it. First, use a knit if making it in the size her measurements match to or else go up a size if using a woven so that it isn't so hard to get off and on. Second, I would lower the front neckline at the center about 1/2 inch. The pattern is roomy on the sides of the neck, but is a little too high at the front of the neck for my granddaughter's comfort. It is really a lot cuter than the envelope shows, so I will be making it again soon.

This is no run-of-the-mill play dress. Beautifully cut and it fits together perfectly. Think of those lovely fitting shift dresses that are worn so effortlessly, that is what you have here. Once again Liesl has designed a pattern that works equally well on little girls as their older sisters. I made up the 12 for my 11 year old niece in a printed denim. The empire line bodice is very flattering and comfortable but the sleeves have an elegant slimness that appeals to her fussy pre-teen tastes. http://www.flickr.com/photos/motherof5/11699077215/in/set-72157633181194697/ (Modelled here by my 14 year old daughter) The back and neck facings give a sturdy finish and the pockets are a perfect height. A very enjoyable and satisfying sew.

    Leggings
    Reviewed by on 09/25/2013
I recently made the leggings included in this pattern and since my granddaughter lives 3 hours away it’s tricky to get the right fit when she's not here to try things on. I was thrilled to learn that they fit perfectly; I followed the directions exactly to fit her waist and my daughter measured a pair of leggings she has that were the right length. When I was done they looked “store bought” which certainly can't be said for other commercial patterns which seem to have way too much bulk around the body for the leggings to fit right. I LOVE all the Oliver + S patterns and have purchased ~16 + Little Things to Sew. I love the way the clothes fit and the instructions are phenomenal. The tips are always useful and I’ve learned something new with each pattern. I’ve been sewing for 47 years and thought I pretty much knew it all so it’s really nice to learn new things. I can't wait to start on the tunic!

  • Errata

    1. In the first printing of this pattern, there was an error in pattern piece 2 in the small size range only. The piece as printed is too wide. To fix it, follow the diagram below or print out a revised pattern piece as provided.

    Determining Which Printing You Have

As errata are discovered, they are marked for correction in subsequent printings of the pattern.

To determine which printing of an instruction sheet or pattern sheet you have, look at the copyright box which appears on each. Toward the bottom of the box, there is a series of numbers.

The lowest number you see there indicates which printing you have. For example, if the lowest number in the box on the instruction sheet is "2," you have an instruction sheet from the second printing. Any errors in the instructions mentioned for the first printing have been corrected in your version. If the lowest number in the box on the pattern sheet is "1," you have a copy of the pattern sheet from the first printing.

Pattern sheets and instructions sheets can be printed separately, so be sure to check the errata notices for pattern pieces against the printing number on the pattern sheet and errata notices for instructions against the printing number on the instruction sheet.
