Spring 2009 Patterns Are Now Shipping

Dear Retailer,

We're pleased to announce that our Spring 2009 patterns are now shipping. The Spring patterns are available in two size ranges: 6m to 3T and sizes 4 through 8. Retailers who pre-ordered will be receiving their patterns shortly, as all pre-orders shipped last week. For those of you who haven't pre-ordered, here is a quick introduction to the two outfits.

This A-line dress, featuring three box pleats at the center front, can be dressed up for formal occasions or dressed down for more informal play dates—depending on the fabric your customers choose. 

This dress also features some interesting details that you can explore with your customers. 

The asymmetrical button tab in the front can be sewn as a big bow, which provides a design opportunity to use a contrast fabric or a favorite ribbon.  

And we have included our signature hem facing detail on this dress, which offers the option to include a splash of color or a contrast print at the inside of the hem.

sailboat top, skirt, and pants

This unisex pattern provides a top and two bottom options. The top is a button-shoulder shirt with top-stitched details and curved shirt-tail hem. To complete the outfit, your customer can choose to sew either an A-line skirt or sailor-style cropped pants—both button-front.

Despite all the interesting detail included, this pattern is one of our easiest—just one of four scissors in difficulty rating. Novice sewers will surprise themselves by the detail they are able to achieve with this pattern—thanks to our clear construction techniques and detailed instructions. 

This pattern would be a great project for a beginner or advanced-beginner class. The instructions have been written with the novice seamstress in mind, and people new to the craft will be pleased with how many skills they learn by making this outfit.
