new fall styles available in both paper and digital formats

As we’ve introduced our new styles this week, we’ve held back one little piece of information. All three styles will be released simultaneously as both paper and digital patterns!

Fall 2012 Envelopes

Since offering our first digital pattern last year, we’ve heard feedback from many of you about the concept. Some people love PDF patterns and don’t purchase paper ones anymore. Others would never consider buying and printing a PDF and will only use paper patterns. So, for this release, we’ve decided to make both camps happy at the same time.

(We’re always interested in hearing feedback about how you use our patterns and what you like and don’t like. So if you have strong feelings one way or another about digital patterns, we would love you to add your thoughts to this topic which was opened up just yesterday in our discussion forums.)

Once the patterns go up on our website (within the next few days), you’ll be able to select the styles you like in either paper or digital format.

The paper patterns are produced exactly the same as our past styles, with all the high-quality features you’ve come to love–like the heavy-weight tissue paper and the card stock pattern wrapper that you can use to cut out a paper doll. The digital patterns don’t have these features, but they do offer instant sewing gratification thanks to an immediate download–with no shipping and handling charges.

Paper or digital, the choice is yours with these styles. We hope you enjoy sewing with them, in whatever format you choose.

soooo excited for PDF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love ordering them this way since I live in Canada to get a pattern shipped here the shipping is usually the cost of the pattern 🙁 my budget does not like this or let me do this often at all… Only have 1 of your patterns despite loving them!

Thank you so much for offering your new styles in digital print, I am so excited. When I saw all of these patterns I have started purchasing my fabric in anticipation! I am most excited about the boys shirt and cargo pants.

  3. I love the PDF patterns because I usually make 2 sizes – one for each daughter. It is so nice to be able to print 2 and then just cut each size – I much prefer taping to tracing!

  4. Chris

YES! That means I’ll be able to sew her a dress in time for Picture Day! Thanks!

  5. Deb

Thanks for providing PDF too, living in Australia makes the patterns even more expensive and time delayed than ever! Will enjoy purchasing and printing same day 🙁

Thank you for the digital format option. That is the way I prefer to purchase my patterns these days. I can’t wait to sew up these three new patterns. I am especially happy about the cargo pants. They will work perfectly for my son’s school uniform.

  7. That is nice you are offering both for those who choose PDF’s. But, I will avoid purchasing one at all costs, unless of course it is out of print and I can’t find one, paper all the way!! 🙂

I wish you had added the other side of the pattern envelops so I could see the fabric requirements.

    Woo-hoo! 🙂 Instantaneous gratification!

  10. I am THRILLED that you are releasing these in PDF format as well as paper! I am a printable PDF junkie; I love the instant gratification. 🙂 Thanks so much for your wonderful patterns. I can’t wait to make the Fairytale Dress!

Fabulous, since this means I can save on shipping as I don’t live in the US, AND I can order both sizes. I was kind of hoping that the size run from ~3T and then 4T and above, but now maybe I can consider buying at least the fairy tale dress in both sizes. Thank you!

When can we see the fabric requirements?

    1. They’ll be available when the patterns go live in the next few days.

Hello I was wondering when the fabric and notion requirements will be released for these patterns? Soon I hope! My daughter just approved both the dresses, so can’t wait to start making them!
