get out your sketchbook for digital release thursday

One of our most popular patterns for boys is the Sketchbook Shirt + Shorts pattern. This week we’re releasing it as a digital pattern.

Sketchbook Skirt + Shorts

The Sketchbook  pattern features a shirt in two versions: a cuffed, long-sleeve option with a one-piece collar and chest pocket or a band collar and short sleeve option. Both styles include button front placket and shirt-tail hem. Also included is a pattern for below-the-knee length elastic-waist shorts which include front pockets and a mock fly.

This pattern is now available for purchase and download in the shop.

One of my most favourite patterns!
I must have made a dozen for Hugo (shirts, shorts&trousers) and now the Twins are super keen too.

Hi, I am making the boy’s sketchbook shorts for the first time, size 7. I am an experienced seamstress. There seems to be a discrepancy in the crotch and side seams when I begin to construct the legs. After reading the forum, do I understand that there is an error in the pattern? I’ve had this pattern since it came out and never used it.
Please advise. Thanks!!!

Yes, thanks so much Nicole, for pointing to the errata notice on the Sketchbook pattern. The early printed version of the paper pattern had errors that have been corrected in all subsequent printings and in the digital version.
